Colins Nest Café is situated next to Eagles Mount Green Community.
It is not just open to the people who use our live here at Eagles Mount and their family, but also to the general public. Come in and enjoy the quality and relaxed atmosphere! We offer a fantastic variety of specialist teas, a selection of freshly ground coffees and of course plenty of cold drinks.
There are snacks, fresh pastries & homemade cakes. There are gluten free and vegan cakes on offer from a local company called Honey Buns. They make all their cakes by hand, nothing is processed artificially. We also have a light lunch menu available.
Eagles Mount can promise that these are all at extremely competitive and reasonable prices. We can cater for the brilliant Poole sunshine with our outdoor seating areas, but we do have indoor seating for those who like a bit of shelter. Come and see us, our doors are open 7 days a week.
With the Care Home sector facing increasing compliance requirements regarding infection control guidelines; our laundry needs are managed on site by our specialist laundry team. We use an in-house system called ‘OTEX’, this system kills all micro-organisms, bacteria, yeasts, moulds and viruses – including MRSA and C.difficile.

Your relative’s clothing will be tagged with identifiable buttons. Most garments are laundered and returned on the same day. The laundry costs are included in our weekly care fees. Dry cleaning items need to be arranged outside the home and should ideally be avoided for risk of damage. This service is paid for by the person living with us separately and arrangements to take and collect dry cleaning will be made on their behalf.
Eagles Mount Care Home have two chiropodists who visit every six weeks. If you would like this service please let us know as it is not included in the fees.
Our visiting optician service has had many years’ experience in looking after the eyesight of those in care homes. The qualified opticians carry the latest mobile optical equipment, enabling our residents to have a full eye test in the comfort of their own surroundings.
We have routine weekly visits from local doctors as well as when requested by qualified nurses. We also have visits from dental team for all dentures, dental repairs and check-ups as and when needed.
Food is one of life’s simple pleasures yet is an important part of our health and well-being. At Eagles Mount Care Home you can experience hearty and healthy home cooked meals, locally sourced in the Dorset area and freshly prepared by our experienced chef, special diets and allergies are also catered for.
Each week people under our care have the option to attend a church service and if requested, our chaplain can pop by your room for a visit too. What’s more, the support of our services and chaplain give a wider sense of community spirit.
We all enjoy being pampered and people under our care are no different. Here at Eagles Mount Care Home, we have a caring and attentive beautician who is also available to visit rooms if required.
